Smashed Plantain Chips

2 Plantains
oil to shallow/deep fry
salt and chilli powder, to taste
Peel the skin of the plantains. Slice the Plantain, into 1/2 inch discs. Heat up a pan with some oil for shallow frying. Place the plantains discs in oil and let it brown on each side and remove.
Now smash each plantain disc and then air fry. Sprinkle some salt and chilli powder for flavor. Enjoy!
In the traditional recipe, the plantain discs are deep fried in oil and also after smashing the plantain discs, the plantain slices are deep fried again.
